Defend your organization with AI - Microsoft Security Copilot

Introduction

Cybersecurity is vital in today’s digital world. Security professionals must stay ahead of the curve and respond quickly to incidents to protect their assets and customers from attackers who exploit vulnerabilities, steal data, disrupt operations, and damage reputations.

However, this is easier said than done. Security professionals often need more resources, skills, and visibility to deal with vast data from various sources. They must also keep up with the latest trends and techniques in the ever-evolving threat landscape. All of this can lead to fatigue, frustration, and missed opportunities.

Meet Microsoft Security Copilot

Microsoft Security Copilot is a generative AI assistant that can help security professionals detect hidden patterns, harden defenses, and respond to incidents faster. It leverages OpenAI’s GPT-4 large language model (LLM) and Microsoft’s security-specific model to provide intelligent guidance based on 65 trillion daily signals and global threat intelligence.

Your security partner

Security Copilot is not a replacement for human experts but rather a partner that can augment their work and help them make better decisions. Security Copilot can answer natural language questions, provide actionable insights, generate reports, and offer step-by-step instructions for mitigating risks. It can also learn from user feedback and improve its skills over time.

NOTE: Security Copilot is currently in preview and available for enterprise customers who use Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Intune.

These are some of the use cases that Security Copilot can help with:

  • Incident response: Security Copilot can help identify an ongoing attack, assess its scale and impact, and provide recommendations for remediation based on proven tactics from real-world security incidents.
  • Threat hunting: Security Copilot can help triage signals at machine speed, surface threats early, and provide predictive guidance to help thwart an attacker’s next move.
  • Security reporting: Security Copilot can help summarize events and findings in minutes, generate clear and concise reports, and highlight key takeaways and recommendations.

The future is here

Security Copilot is part of Microsoft’s vision to lead the way with AI in security and beyond. Microsoft believes AI can be a mighty tool if used responsibly and ethically. That’s why Security Copilot follows the highest security and privacy compliance standards and never uses customer data to train other AI models.
